You have probably heard, "Ask and you shall receive." When you ask, in your heart, for your will to be aligned with Spirit, that can come to pass. Be patient and loving with yourself and with others, and you are well on your way to living according to God's will. - John-Roger (From: "Your Destiny and God's Will for You", on the New Day Herald website at www.ndh.org/template.php3?ID=848I agree with this above statement as long as the meaning of Spirit means one's Higher Self. I believe that one's Higher Self is in control of a lot of the things that take place in our lives, and that is is possible to align one's self with one's Higher Self more fully so that one desires more of what the Higher Self wants to have happen. This can lead to a much happier existance than constantly living in great amounts of desire for that which you do not have. Unfulfilled desires can be a really uncomfortable thing in my opinion.

At one point you and your spouse were compatible, before you began to judge inaccurately. You knew better in the beginning. The reason you were attracted to the person you married or to the person you loved was not to change that person to something else. It was to love that person for him or herself. If you compromise that position, you've lost your marriage. Be strong. - John-Roger (From: Sex, Spirit and You, p. 58)

Embrace your hurts. Embrace the things that bother you, the things you don't understand. Embrace them. Hold them. You don't have to do anything else. Allow them to be what they are. Experience what they are. Something incredible happens. You become free in relation to what has been binding you and keeping you from realizing your power. It comes back to you. It was contained in that struggle of not embracing yourself. Start where you are. Do it here and now, fully and completely. Embrace this moment. Embrace yourself right now without any requirements. Let go and take yourself in. It's a great way of being. It is God's way of being who you are. - John Morton "The Power Within You" class with John Morton on the Internet - Tuesday May 22nd, 6:30 p.m. pacific daylight time at www.msia.org/live

It's okay because you're never given anything that can't be handled. Of course you complain and you moan and groan. That helps you handle it. Do you know that some people yell to handle things, others fight with each other to handle them, others shut up to handle them, and others don't handle them to handle them? That's a decision by default. It's almost as bad as no decision at all because you can't say, "I tried." If the decision is wrong, don't worry, because you can change it. What is "wrong" anyway? I don't know. I've been watching decisions that people have made over a period of four, five, or six years, and none of them are right or wrong, because the wisdom of the decision appears over the course of time. - John-Roger (From: "The Light Behind the Shadows," on the NDH website at www.ndh.org/template.php3?ID=710)

Each conscious person has a responsibility to other human beings. Even if you don't know them, you have a responsibility to them. That doesn't mean that you have to do whatever someone else is doing. If someone is digging a sewer, you don't have to jump in the ditch and dig with them, although that, too, is an option you can choose. Your responsibility is to support people, offer encouragement, and hold a positive, nonjudgmental attitude toward others. And whatever you do, or don't do, make sure it is your heartfelt response. - John-Roger (From: Relationships: Love, Marriage and Spirit, p. 195)

Whatever you do, God will still love you and care for you. When we understand that, we don't need to know anything else. Our life is taken care of. I find it does something in return where we want to give back. We want to love God so much that we would do it with all our body, all our mind, and all our spirit. We would not hold anything back. We would give with the completeness that we experience in God's love towards us. That's a really great life - to take in God's love as completely as you can with all your body, mind and spirit and then give it back. - John Morton "The Power Within You" class with John Morton on the Internet - Tuesday May 22nd, 6:30 p.m. pacific daylight time at www.msia.org/live

When you look at someone's action, look for the wisdom of the action. In other words, where will this action ultimately take them? Will it take them into the Divine consciousness, into God? If so, leave them alone. Let them be. If you say, "I don't know where it will take them," then don't pretend that you know. Just say, "I don't know." My God, it's not a sin or a crime not to know. - John-Roger (From: "The Light Behind the Shadows," on the NDH website at www.ndh.org/template.php3?ID=710)Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

As children and as youngsters, we experiment with many expressions and experiences. It is one way we begin to gain identity in this world, and it is a necessary step in our evolvement. Too often, however, we do not see beyond those various expressions to our Soul essence, the core or center pole of our beingness. If we become a musician, for example, we may think that without our musical expression, we are nothing; we have no value, no place in the world. If we become a teacher, we may identify so greatly with that role that we cannot see ourselves as separate from it. These beliefs are traps of this level. For our Souls have expressed in myriad ways throughout the scope of time and space and remain true to their divine essence, no matter what our expression. - John-Roger with Pauli Sanderson (From: When Are You Coming Home? A Personal Guide to Soul Transcendence, p. 163-164)

Don't look for God and Spirit outside yourself; just awaken to the presence inside. Know that God reigns personally inside you as you, and the Beloved is present. We are one in God's loving heart, and there is truly only one Beloved: the God-form. You are part of it. Everyone is. - John-Roger (From: Living Love from the Spiritual Heart, p. 4-5)

Each person must choose for himself or herself. There is no need to try to influence someone one way or another, but you can be honest and present different options and points of view. You can describe the possible results of various actions. You can lay out four or five choices. Then, whatever the person chooses will be all right with you because your emotions and ego won't be involved. If you present only one choice, you'll usually find that your emotions and ego become involved, and you may try to control the person's decision. Then if the person decides against your recommendation, you could feel hurt, upset, and confused. When people feel this type of control from you, they will fight back. They'll say, "I love you, but let me breathe my own air." They may feel suffocated in many ways. When you can look at a person and say, "I love you; do as you please," that person can say, "That's right! I'm free. I don't have to prove it to anybody. I love you, too, and you can do what you want to do." In that freedom, you may decide to go on together. - John-Roger (From: Sex, Spirit and You, p. 70-71)

How would you recognize the voice - the message - of an angel? By the truth of who you are. How do you put yourself in a position to hear an angel? You say, "Hold on, mind. I want to hear what the angels are saying." - John Morton "Moving Into Higher Consciousness Through Service" class with John Morton on the Internet - Wednesday March 21, 2007, 6:30 p.m. pacific daylight time at www.msia.org/live

The Mystical Traveler doesn't ask a lot of you. He asks you to do your spiritual exercises every day, to love one another, and to live without hurting yourself or others, in ways that will nurture and care for yourself and others. Within those parameters, all the choices are yours. - John-Roger (From: Living Love from the Spiritual Heart, p. 24)
