I was given a gift of this Pau D'arco tea to use as a natural antibiotic in hopes of healing my surgical wound easier. It's made from the bark of a tree that grows in Central and South America, and people have been using it as an antibiotic for thousands of years. It did seem to work well while I was using it. I was very pleased as I didn't seem to start getting the infection back in my wound until a few days after I ran out of it.
I'm hoping to get more soon, but need to get to a neighboring town in order to do so. I'm not driving at the moment because after the brain surgery I went through, etc., I'm waiting to see how much more peripheal vision I recover as well as how much more clear my thinking becomes again.
I am fairly sure the biggest reason I have had to fight infection in my wound is because I am allergic to the house I've been staying in. It has mold in the bathroom floors and possibly walls, and that is one of the reasons I have been feeling worse and worse with each passing year I believe. I have noticed that while I'm here even tiny scratches I get always break out with my usual rash, and take about 4 times longer than normal to heal. They itch a lot as well, which is really irritating in the large wound on my head, as it's supposed to itch while healing already.
I am supposed to be moving to another place on Feb. 1st, so hopefully things will go better with me after that. I really don't want to go on antibiotics again, but I doubt I will have much of a choice in the matter. I truly do not want to have to go through another surgery on my head. That is the most traumatic surgery I've ever had, and don't want to put my brain through that again unless absolutely neccessary. Luckily, two of my family members have helped me by bringing me very good supplements to take during my healing process recently. I think they will help a lot.
