I recently read somewhere that our emotions are the key to getting to know ourselves far better. I believe that if one is into following one's heart while balancing that with logic and intuition, that is probably a true statement. So I'm paying a lot more attention to my emotions now, rather than trying as hard as I did before to suppress and even ignore them.
I feel that paying attention to ones emotions/heart and doing the things that make one feel good more than doing what makes one feel negative, is the way to stay far more healthy. Pent up emotions can make one very physically ill eventually. That's what happened to me. I'm very happy to be feeling better now that I'm in an environment that is more peaceful and positive.
