Hi Joan! I figured that I should create a welcome thread for you considering the circumstances, and how happy we both are about finding each other again after all these years!
Here's my side of the story: Joan and I met in high school in a teenage parent program and became instant best friends. I figure that we must be soul sisters of some kind because of how we just meshed together without any effort. I lost track of Joan about 14 years ago and have been worried about her ever since. After I watched the documentary The Secret, the first wish I made was that I hear from Joan again. It took a few years, but Joan somehow found me on the internet, and got my oldest daughter's phone number because of that, and called her a few days ago! So we had a very happy phone reunion as she is all of the way across the United States from where I am now. It made me very happy to hear that she is doing really well and is happy now.
Joan has had a really hard life like me, but is a trooper just like I am. Every time life knocks her down, she just gets up and keeps going. I am very proud of her for coming so far in her life and for getting to where she had wanted to go so long ago finally! Three cheers for Joan! ;D
