I agree, Pablo. But during the Great Depression our Grandparents found ways to make it through, so I am sure we can do the same thing if we want to. Sure, where my Gram was they had to eat plain boiled beans everyday for God only knows how long, and getting a piece of meat to put into them was like Christmas, but that is probably why they turned out to be such self-reliant, non-spoiled people in the long run. My family is going through it's own "Great Depression" now, and oddly enough, I am happy about this as in my opinion they have all been far too spoiled and unappreciative of the good things they have had for years. Gratitude is one of the most important emotions that we as human beings can have, and I am really hoping that someday my family members will each figure that out for themselves. In my perspective, most people have to hit rock bottom and have many, many things taken from them before they learn to count their blessings every day and be grateful for what they really have. It is too bad it is like this for so many of us, but it is. I guess one usually doesn't know how good one has really had it until one's "luxeries" are taken away. Maybe the entire planet, especially we "spoiled" American's, (only my opinion, of course,) is in great need of learning appreciation and gratitude once again, so the Universe is forcing us to learn? I sure do hope so, for then it all will be quite worth it! Happy new year everyone!
