The Superstition Thread

Since we have a dream thread, I thought we needed a a superstition one also. List any you hold here and why you think you have them. Here's mine:

I only pick up pennies heads up-for good luck

We only trim nails during daylight hours-that's one from the Philippines. I have no idea what it's about other than avoiding bad luck.

I have to put my ID tag for work on before I leave my home office(The Sanitarium)-mainly so I don't forget it and risk getting sent home but I believe it helps me get more sales. It doesn't always work for sales.

Never light the last match in a book. I think that goes back to WWII when soldier's matches were rare.

I have many more and will add them as I remember.

I never throw any pennies or any other money into the garbage, as I feel it may bring me bad luck with money.

I try my hardest not to judge others for their choices, as I feel that it will bring me better karma in my life someday. Plus, it is their life anyway, not mine to live.

I am very superstitious about my dreams, as I feel that I get messages from spirits, spirit guides, and sometimes the Divine in them occasionally.

I was taught to buy myself some gold, as it would attract more gold and wealth into my life.

That's all that I can think of so far, but I am sure that I will be able to come up with more later on.
