I have been makng talismans a lot lately as the people who know me are asking me to make them for them. I have known how to do this for many years, but haven't really made too many of them until now. I recently made one for myself for prosperity, and started carrying it on me every day in my pocket, and within about 4 days someone just handed me an extra $500 which really saved me as I had spent too much out of my checking account without knowing it! I am usually very organized but haven't been feeling too well lately, so I kept putting off balancing my checkbook, which was a huge mistake. So my talisman saved me. At least is sure appears that it did! I like to use pretty rocks as talismans a lot, as they just feel right to me. Talismans are fairly easy to make the way that I make them, and that form of magick is non-specific so there is far less of a chance that anyone will be affected negatively by it, it seems. Anyone else have anything to say about talismans?

I've never made one myself. Right now I'm experimenting with the evil dark stuff.

Be very careful, Creator. That is my only advice to you. I am not an expert, far from it, but I believe in karma, and that if one does hurt another through the use of magick that there is usually a price to pay. I ALWAYS try to find another way around a situation before I use magick that will harm someone. My life is already hard enough. The last thing I want to do is make it even harder.

Talismans... This is interesting topic for me, cause I started my way in magick from runes. For me runes are very helpful, but some people can't get along with them.

Then we have something in common, Grey Inquisitor, as I also started with runes. I feel very strongly that each rune has it's own "feel" to it, and I have used talisman's containing runes for years with what I feel is great success. My favorite rune is a lesser known rune called "Stan". I really like that way it simply stops negative energy dead in it's tracks, and doesn't bounce it back to sender. Rather it just absorbs it and transforms it into positive energy instead somehow, from what I have read about it and experimented with myself.
I used to be fairly proficient with runic readings too, as I did them before I started learning my tarot cards. I have found though, that tarot cards seem to be a bit more specific for me, so I use them now, and rarely use my runes anymore. But my first love was definitely runes! ;D
