There are many forms of healing that the creator given us in ways in which to heal. Be it sound, light, the elements, smell, touch, prayer, energy, herbs, acupuncture, etc. The ways of healing are endless. The earth has many ways herself of gifts in energy as well in vortex's of energy and stone energy to heal as well. Vibrations come in all variations-high to low and in between. Medicine wheels have been around since man or who knows, maybe even before man. They are powerful and healing and help to heal the earth. They can be made with herbs as well. Mandala's have been made with sand, the same concept of healing and prayer throughout centuries in different lands. Sand is the earth's healing energy. For centuries the different properties of stones had been given or known in different cultures and lands.Stones were usually in sacred temples and there for a reason. Because they had magical properties and served a purpose. India, and Egypt are some I can think of right of the top of my head. The blue hope diamond was stolen from the India-temples. Things that are sacred, in my opinion should stay sacred, but man has not learned these things yet. I am still hoping. I can go further into stones and there uses later. I have only tapped the surface.

Hematite, or Alaskan black diamond in other words, is great for keeping one grounded and focused on any task. I used to keep one in my pocket when I was managing the Wholistic Healing Center, because we had so many rocks and crystals there, that I would end up feeling like I was floating after being at work for a while. I am very sensitive to the energies of the stones. So when I needed to be able to focus and really think logically, I would just hold my hematite in my hand, and it would bring me back down to earth so to speak. It is also good to keep one emotionally balanced.

Excellent, I love hematite. It's also really useful after magick or ritual to bring one back to physical reality. You really don't want to use it right before or during, though, unless it's actually part of the rite. In my experience, the one exception to the emotional balance aspect is depression. When I'm depressed, I can't have my hematite around. It'll send me through the floor. I guess there can be such a thing as too much grounding!

Wow, I never thought about hematite keeping one depressed, but it is that "heavy" of a stone. I used to wear hematite in a ring on my hand for awhile, but I wasn't suffering from depression all that much when I did. Anyone know anything about turquoise? I have always been really drawn to turquoise, and have only been able to find that the Native Americans used it as a stone for protection. I also know that it helps with anything that has to do with one's throat chakra, and communication. But I think there might be more to the stone than what I know?

Well, you pretty much covered all of my turquoise knowledge. I personally associate it with motherhood, but I think that's mainly 'cause my own mom is nuts about the stuff.

Oh yes, the great protection against the Fairy race is iron! Just as silver works as a Nosferatu repellant...
