I believe that it is time that the Goddess appear more in our worlds religions. For too long have people been focusing on the part of God that is male! That has totally changed the way that most society's view females. The Catholic church basically seemed to kill off the holy feminine parts of the Divine, or at least stop the widespread worshiping of the Highest Part of the feminine part of God. Since then there has been a balance problem. As thought energy is real, and most people only hold within their minds the male part of God, his masculine parts have been ruling the Earth for too long. It is time for humanity to remember the Female side of God! We need the focus on love and family to come back to life again! In other words, the yang has been the ruling chi/energy for the past 2,000 years or so. It is Yin's turn now to become more prevalent in peoples thoughts. Any other opinions on this? I believe that the Goddess is trying to make herself more well-known again. To bring the balance back.

It's interesting how popular the Da Vinci Code has become, with it's use of the Mary Magdalene theory. It's not a new idea by any means, but it's suddenly in the public consciousness because of Dan Brown.
It's got to be a timing thing. The book's just not that good. (Not to trash Brown, it was a fun read and all.)
The world just needs it's Mama.

Though I do have to say that, as far as Christianity goes, the Catholic church has actually gone the farthest in acknowleging the goddess, through the Virgin Mary and all the lady saints. Granted, it's a severely limited view of the feminine mysteries, but it's something.
I doubt this was their original intent. History seems to say that the people began worshipping Mary in spite of their priests, not because of them. But these days it's pretty much accepted practice.

Yes, I agree with you on the worship of Mary, mother of Jesus, and the female saints in the Catholic church. They are actually a lot further on down the road to peaceful enlightenment than the Mormons are, LOL!

Yeah, the Mormons seem to be moving backwards as far as women are concerned. My sweetie is a former Mormon. (Excommunicated. Twice. You gotta admit, that's impressive.)
Back in the day, they were among the first groups to encourage women to attend medical school. Of course, this was because they didn't want any other men examining their wives and daughters. But still, it's something.
Now they say women shouldn't work outside the home. They don't actually forbid it, just look at is as a sometimes necessary evil. Like I said, backwards.

I know Thorn. I was raised Mormon as well. Did you know that the Mormon religion was started by a man named Joseph Smith, who was a high up Mason? And that a lot of the temples rituals are mixed up Masonry? It is actually a magickal religion, not a super "Christian" one. The member's of the church who make it into the temple find out quickly that it is a magickal society, but cannot talk about it outside of the temple because it is forbidden. They are threatened with death and take a vow on their own lives that they will never speak to any one aloud about what goes on in the temples. They can only speak in the temple about what goes on inside of the temple itself. Spooky religion to me. I am excommunicated as well. I made them excommunicate me when I was 17, and I realized that they forbade oral sex between a man and his wife! Unbelievable. I knew I was going to go to hell for sure then, LOL, because there was no way that I was about to stop having oral sex with my own husband!!!
