I love surrealism the most. Magritte, Dali and things similar. Also the naive surrealist art. Avant Garde is another favourite art style of mine.
Max Ernst's photo art is interesting. And literary art as in prose and poetry... I like surrealism there too. Kafka especially.

I'm also big on surrealism - in painting, film, and literature. (Love Dali and Kafka! Not as big on Magritte.) De Chirico, one of my absolute favorite painters, is consdiered an early surrealist, I believe. And Chagal is a surrealist as well, no?
Let's see... As far as genres in painting, I've always loved the post-Impressionists, esp. Gaugin. Also Art Deco and Art Nouveau. Ususally, though, I'm drawn more to a painter than a movement - I love Pollock, but not so much the other abstract expressionists. I adore El Greco, but I'm not entirely sure what one would call his style. Not sure what Matisse is either - fauvist? Not really much of a movement there - but he's wonderful.
In literature, in addition to surrealists like Kafka and Gogol, lately I've found myself really drawn to a particular style of American realism. I've been on a Truman Capote kick the last few weeks. And the science fiction classics, of course. (Just read Ender's Game for the first time.) I went through a phase where I was really into the really heavy Russian stuff like Dostoevsky, but they haven't appealed lately.
