...is NOT Judaism. This is an interesting article: www.aish.com/spirituality/philosophy/Jews_For_Jesus.aspI posted a comment myself, though it hasn't shown up, yet (if you follow the link and see a comment from Nathan Hevenstone, that's me ;D). I do believe that Jews for Jesus is a cult, and it is a cult that is only serving to widen the gap in Jewish/Christian relations. It is possible for all religions to coexist in piece, but not when attempts to convert like this exist in our midst. And if you're wondering why Jews can't believe in Jesus... I've posted this article here before, but here it is again: www.aish.com/jewishissues/jewishsociety/Why_Jews_Dont_Believe_In_Jesus.asp^That's why. Thoughts on Jews for Jesus?

I really don't understand it...surely for Jews to believe in Jesus is a total denial of all the prophecy of the Torah....hmmm! I have to admit that I'd never heard of this...but there are only two smallish Jewish communities in my area. One Synagogue has about 150 members and another two have about 400 between them.
I really don't understand where Christianity went wrong...after all, according to the NT Jesus always said that it was of utmost importance to uphold all the laws of Moses - that he wasn't coming to take the laws away. It was only later that those who followed Jesus started to say that the laws no longer applied. And then poof Jesus isn't a man anymore, he's a divinity...a divine Messiah?!! Oh the mind boggles!
Anyway...I digress! I think that I need to have a think about it and then try and post an intelligable reply later!

I've never understood the Jews for Jesus thing, either. Wouldn't believeing JC was the Messiah make them, you know, Christian?
I mean, you can be Christian and still follow the OT laws, no? It is part of their holy book, too...

You've just about hit the nail on the head there Thorn...BUT Christians tend to disregard many of the rules that the Jews follow from the Torah and of course the Talmud is something that Christians have never heard of. I wonder if the Jews for Jesus thing is a way for those Jews who have decided that Jesus is for them to continue with an essentially Jewish way of life? Hmm...I don't know!
