I would like to start a discussion about all of our philosohies about life. I myself believe that there is no such thing as death; that there is only energy transferrence/transmutation. I also believe that each and every soul has a different aura, that I have come to call one's soulprint. I believe that our minds are quick enough for us to "feel" (in an extra sensory way) these soulprints, which is why we are drawn to some people so strongly, and repelled by others! I also think that we choose our birth parents as spirits before we enter a physical body. Someone whose path will help us with the karmic lessons we need to learn in the next incarnation that we are looking for. I also think that there are only 2 types of experiences that we are going through at all times in our lives, and those 2 things are experiencing joy, and experiencing learning. Think about that last one and try to disprove my thinking. ;D

Sometimes I think that we actually are in God, the way an unborn baby is within it's Mother. It doesn't know it is within it's Mother, and could quite possibly feel it is alone, but it is within it's Mother, and is far from alone. I sometimes feel that when we die, we are actually "born" into another existance where we can then see that we are actually within God. Sort of like the newborn baby gets acquainted with it's Mother at birth, then at death we will become more acquainted with God. Hmmmm.

I believe in random reincarnation. If we have made any mistakes that do not enable us to get into Heaven, then we are reborn, but we don't choose our parents.
We could be reborn in the future, in the past... heck, we could be reborn as ourselves and relive our entire lives, only we would not remember our past lives. Obviously, we'd live the life differently, but it's still be a life we'd already lived. We just wouldn't know it.
I also believe I may have lived through my current life once or twice before, mainly because I have a habit of dreaming about things before they actually happen. I also believe if you want to know if you have lived your life before, all you have to do is try and remember if you dreamed of doing something, and then actually done it. The lapse of time between the dream and the dream coming true doesn't matter, but if the dream comes true, then that's the proof (or maybe it's telepathy... I'm not sure).
But I just went way off topic...
I believe every person has a purpose, but sometimes that purpose may be no more than watching others. However, I also believe life has no big meaning. Life is simply what you make it.
I used to believe that maybe reality is actually the dream and our dreams are actually reality. But if that's true, then I am a dead fallen angel who has become a superhero while at the same time stealing form God and the Devil and giving it to ET to help blow up Earth so I can try and save it, and through all of that doing things like moving from Connecticut to Georgia and then dreaming about it two years later... no, I don't believe this anymore.
More to come... maybe.

You really can't go off topic in this thread, Jimmyrrpage. I like your view on reicarnation. I have never thought of it like that, and will think about it now, and see if it becomes truth to me.

From my very superficial understanding of Hindu Karma, one has to keep reincarnating until they get "it" right, then they get rewarded by getting off the wheel. In my case, I would have to relive until I learned how relate with love to the people who have hurt me and I have hurt. This makes sense to me, but it seems like such a lot of work!

Yes it does seem like a lot of work when you think about it, Barbh. But I think through each life you learn lessons that make it easier to love in a divine and unconditional way, until in you last incarnations on Earth, that is what you are doing to all people, even those who hurt you. So what you said makes perfect sense to me.

I don't believe in reincarnation or a soul/spirit. To me, Life is God/Universal Source and God is Life. All that exists is God's expression and exploration of Itself. That's it. I seem to be repeating myself in every post I make around here. Well.... *shrugs* At least I am consistant.

God is always there for us, whether we can feel it or not. God is the highest lifeforce with intelligence that exists in the universe, and it is from God that we get our own lifeforce from, therefore God is actually a part of us. We are always connected to God. Just like a baby is within a mother's belly before the baby is born. The baby doesn't know that it is within the mother's belly being protected by the mother's body, it thinks that it is alone. That is how we are within God. All we need to do is to try to communicate with God and he always hears us. He sends us answers to our questions in many different ways, I am quite sure of it as I have had many of my questions answered MANY times now. When we die, it is like we are being born into Spirit, and then we can see just how connected to God we actually are and always have been. We are never actually alone.

I don't believe in god. Or people. I wish I believed in god though, because I'd like to file a complaint. I'm completely dissatisfied with being incarnated as a miserable b**ch this time round.

I don't think that you are a miserable b**ch, Creator. I DO think that you are going through a LOT of hard times though! I don't know when your life will start changing for the better but I DO believe that it will. My love goes out to you! If only I could give you a real hug!
