There are no guarantees, particularly in terms of time lines and rewards, but if you are going to get what you want, you may as well face it -- there are dues to be paid. Those dues do not have to be painful. Again, it depends on your attitude. If you dig in with your ego and refuse to change, then you may also be sinking yourself into a rut of resistance. Success rides high and may miss you below it. A great part of self-improvement is a willingness to change. A great part of change is letting go. - John-Roger (From: Wealth & Higher Consciousness, p. 70) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

Marry with the attitude that when something happens that is hard for your spouse to handle, you will hold firm with them. You don't say, "If you'd done it like I told you, this wouldn't have happened." Deal with what's going on, not with what you talked about last week. You might want to say, "You know what we talked about last week and the week before that and the week before that? This is another one, honey. These are connected. Maybe it's time for you to look because you may have a habit going against you." - John-Roger (From: Sex, Spirit and You, p. 59) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

Be glad that Spirit can reach to you and touch you where you are. Be glad that you do not have to know what is in your heart nor do you have to prepare a pure place. That place is already prepared. Yours is simply to open it up. - John Morton Easter Eve Seminar with John Morton on the Internet - Saturday April 7, 6:30 p.m. pacific daylight time at www.msia.org/liveWatch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQRg7WPXGBw

You may find the perfect angel who will have so much mercy and grace and forgiveness and be able to handle you at your worst and still hang in there and love you and care for you. If you run into one of those, I'd honor them as best you can. At least acknowledge them and participate, because my independent survey says they're rare -- the ones that will love you no matter what, that forgive you no matter what and celebrate you at your worst. In other words, yeah, you had a really bad day but let's celebrate victory anyway. And let me lead you in song. Get somebody like that around, and if they're not, and you realize, "Well, I'm by myself," you can still choose to celebrate your self. - John Morton "The Power Within You" Part 2 class with John Morton on the Internet – Saturday July 14th, 1:00 p.m. pacific daylight time at www.msia.org/live

Your behavior that you demonstrate in front of your child is one of the greatest teaching devices, and the greater your awareness, the more likely it is that your child's lessons will be more positive than negative. - John-Roger (From: Relationships: Love, Marriage and Spirit, p. 86) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

Hindsight is 20/20 vision. If you don't believe me, look back and see how you could have done it. Foresight is looking through the glass darkly. Now is just seeing what you can see, doing what you can do, and being what you can be, just now. There is nothing else, wish as you will, try as you will. As I've told you, my father said to me, "Wish in one hand, and pour water in the other. See which one fills up the fastest." - John-Roger (From: "The Light Behind the Shadows," on the NDH website at www.ndh.org/template.php3?ID=710)Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDisKhO0DXQ

Take responsibility for all aspects of your life. Do positive things, and surround yourself with people who will not necessarily agree with your conditioned point of view, but who will support an action of freedom. What is freedom? Not being attached. No hooks to a life of emotional content. Imagine being with supportive friends who do not support emotional, negative reactions. Imagine choosing people who do not gossip or spread rumors. Imagine choosing people and places that permit you to just be present with what is going on. - John-Roger (From: Wealth & Higher Consciousness, p. 146) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

When you can keep a positive attitude, you can learn from any situation. You can continually be growing and lifting in consciousness and awareness, and life can really be a beautiful experience. - John-Roger (From: Loving Each Day, Volume 1, p. 326) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

When you do your spiritual exercises and consciously attune yourself to the Soul within, you can move through the lower worlds in perfect protection. You can walk through your earthly life and learn all the lessons to be learned here but not be caught up in the glamour of this level. The best protection you have is your own Soul. - John-Roger (From: Fulfilling Your Spiritual Promise, p. 862) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.phpYou can send this quote as an email postcard: www.lovingeachday.org/cardview.php3?id=3140

You can trust the overall perfection of whatever is happening and say, "I claim the perfection and the re-ordering that is in process. I exercise my choices for upliftment, learning and growth. I choose to re-unite myself into the consciousness of perfection." I can look at spilled milk and appreciate it as a mosaic, a piece of art. I can see the beauty. - John Morton Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.phpYou can send this quote as an email postcard: www.lovingeachday.org/cardview.php3?id=3142

Manifesting material things is not that difficult, and I suggest that you don't consider that the end-all and be-all because of all the things that come with material manifestation. You may manifest that "dream house," and guess what else you have to manifest? The insurance, the air conditioning/heating system, the furnishings, and so on. What I'm focusing on in the teachings of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness is not limited to physical manifestation. In fact, I am suggesting that physical manifestation has limited worth unless you awaken to and cooperate with a higher consciousness within you. - John-Roger (From: Wealth & Higher Consciousness, p. 20) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

It's amazing how we can sometimes be of greater service and do more for someone else than we will ever do for ourselves. People have often told me, "John-Roger, when I do something for you, I really do that so well, so perfectly. I really put time and effort into it so that you feel good about it." I say, "Yes, and with your own stuff, you're sloppy. Do you think I feel good about that? I don't feel good about any of it because you're just robbing yourself to give to me, and you think that I don't know the difference. How can you think you're being of service? If you rob yourself in your daily expression to give to me, you've robbed me in that same expression. So you're robbing me six days a week to pay me one day." - John-Roger (From: "How Are You Serving" on the NHD website at www.ndh.org/template.php3?ID=505)Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

It all comes back to these questions: "Who are you inside yourself, and who are you relating to inside the other person?" If you are relating to the same energy force that is within you, the one called God, you'll find it so easy to share and extend love -- not the personal love or the jealous love that says, "Do it my way or else," but the spiritual love that says, "I love you, no matter what." - John-Roger (From: The Way Out Book, p. 76) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php

Do you want your child to grow up to be a nurturing, caring, supportive human being? Children learn by imitation. If you participate often in bonding acts with your child, the odds are that by the time your child is a young adult, you will have contributed to this world by bringing forward a positive human being radiating great warmth and loving. - John-Roger (From: Relationships: Love, Marriage and Spirit, p. 88) Watch today's Moment of Peace with John-Roger, John Morton: www.lovingeachday.org/mop.php You know, I have always thought this was true. And I spent many, many days bonding with all of my children. We went to the park so many times that I am sure that they are all very sick of the park to this day. But that was one of the places that I would go to play with each of my kids when they were growing up. I focused on showing each of my children unconditional love while they were growing up, until each of them started to push me away when they became teenagers. I feel like because they had this interaction with me and their step-father/father they will do the same thing raising their own children. I always had enough time to play with my kids. I am watching my son Nick, and noticing that as his baby gets older and older, he is taking more and more time to play with him all of the time. I can't wait to see how close they get over the next few years. I feel that Nick will end up being a very good Dad. Becoming a father could be the thing that saves Nick from himself, so to speak.
