This is just some of my views on the occult, there are many other views out there. The word Occult is itself could be defined by the words "hidden mystery". So one could use those words interchangeably, and it would mean about the same thing. There are many people around the world, of many different tribes, who have been seeking the feminine part of God, to calm the earth and it's peoples down. Many tribes have been doing rituals for many years in hopes of bringing balance in between the Yin and the Yang energy. The witches of the world, whether old magic, or Wiccan, have been doing rituals to bring more of the feminine energy back to balance the people of the Earth, and bring more peace. I am seeing the very renewal of Goddess worship on the Earth today, and that will change the energy to more of a gentle, peaceful mood which will effect every person on Earth. I hope that gradually the religions of the world can remember the feminine parts of God.

There are so many occult subjects to study or look into to, that there is no way that I could count them. Any thing that isn't an accepted spiritual truth, and is hidden from most people's knowledge, is considered to be occult. I myself have thoroughly enjoyed studying the occult, but have a long time before I would consider myself an expert on the occult. Live and learn.

One of the mysteries of the occult that a lot of people have a hard time imagining can be a reality is the theory of dimensions, and how one can learn to function in more than one dimension at a time. The secret is actually quite simple. Whether we are aware of it or not, our minds already do function in a multidimensional way. Once one knows this to be true, then one can practice opening one's mind up and using the parts of it that are usually not connected to the conscious mind. The parts of the mind that can "see" inter dimensionally are normally buried somewhere in the subconscious mind. But with practice one can open them up and use them in a conscious way. One of the ways I began to learn to use these buried parts of my mind was to learn part of the Silva Mind Control method. It taught me to learn how to stay in the half-awake, half-asleep mental state. So every night when I would go to bed for a while I would practice. I would count myself down to sleep by counting back wards while using visualizations of myself in my mind writing each number on the chalkboard after I thought of it. Somehow this technique taught me lucid sleep. That is the time when the doorways are still open in your mind to the sleeping part of the brain, as well as the awake part; and the two can connect. According to the Silva Mind Control techniques, this is when one's mind is at it's most powerful state.

I haven't used the silva mind control method in a long time, but I still know how to get into that twilight time when your body is asleep but your mind is awake. From what I've heard, that is the best time to do creative visualizations. So sometimes I practice visualizing what I want to come to me in my life while in this state. I need to practise this more again, as I have learned a lot about creative visualization the past few years, and how it can help you to achieve your goals. If one were to creatively visualize while in this in-between mental state, (half-awake and half-asleep), when the mind is supposed to be at it's most powerful state, one would think that the goal of the visualization would be reached more quickly. That's an experiment I would like to try. I love to experiment with things like this.

Up until a little under 2,000 years ago, when Christianity conquered Western Society, Goddess worship remained a normal thing. It took me a long time in my life to include this into my own routine, because I had been raised in modern day Christian cult. And no one ever talked about the feminine part of God. So after reading many books, and doing a lot of soul searching, I decided to try praying to Divine Mother. And my prayers were heard and answered very quickly. I was amazed. So now I include Divine Mother in my daily prayers, as well as Jesus Christ. Out of all of the magick that I have ever done, the strongest that I have found so far is my prayers to Divine Mother and the Master's that have walked on this Earth, including Jesus Christ and Lord Krishna. My prayers are consistently answered since I started praying in this way. I am more successful getting what I want to manifest than I was doing a lot of ritualistic magick before. And it takes a lot less time. Not that there isn't a place for rituals, because I believe that there is. And of course, everybody has their own ways of doing things, and that must be taken into account. Each person's spirituality should be uniquely their own in my opinion. I feel there should be no problem following more than one spiritual path if it feels right to you.

I have found out that a LOT of people have a problem with people like me who are eclectic, and draw from many of the world's religions to create a way to worship and do magick. This really saddens me. I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with me believing that there is some form of truth in almost every religion, and appreciating that fact. I have been to Buddhist temples to chant and meditate. I have been to Native American Sweat Lodges to sweat and pray. I have been to many forms of Christian Churches all throughout my life to worship. And I am Santeria Lukumi as well. That is my main faith. I believe that you can include deities from other pantheons in your prayers even if they are not included in your main religion with no problem, but that is just my belief. And it works well for me. I don't ever try to push my beliefs upon anyone else. And I am happy to quietly practice my eclectic Pagan ways on my own without ridicule. I feel if a certain path feels right in your heart and you feel that it is a way to get you closer to God/Goddess, then by all means, go for it. But that is just my opinion.

A lot of people equate ecclecticism a particular kind of fluffiness often called "magpie syndrome." This is where someone takes all the "pretty shiny bits" from various religions in order to avoid dealing with any of the heavier aspects of any one path. Also, there are paths that just don't combine well in some people's minds. They would understand an attempt to practice both at the same time can to be a big sign that one doesn't really understand either. (Tell your average Christian the you're a Christian witch, for example.) Personnally, I share your belief that most if not all religions have some truth and some falsehoods. I've been an ecclectic pagan for 20 years. I haven't really experienced a lot of bias because of my ecclecticism. I've encountered people who were wary upon learning this, but fine once they had a chance to see I'm not a flake.
