The Knights Templars

I am wondering exactly what the Knights Templars are all about. Anyone care to divulge why this group began, and what it's basic priciples and goals are?

I'm Grandmaster of the Knights Templars, so I guess I'll explain it to you.

The Knights Templars is an an agency set to defend those who would not touch weapons or carry money, due to their involvement with Christ.

A thousand years ago it was crusaders protecting monks.
It operates a little different now but with the same effect.
The Knights Templars carry the Holy Grail.
We're controlling the entire planet, and responsible for saving the whole human race.

carrying the Holy Grail means holding the wisdom of the essence of womanhood

Sorry, everyone else should look up Cretian de Troyes and Wolfram von Eschenbach as this is the earliest reference to the grail.

Certain types of armchair wannabe get very hung up about the secret history of the world when they should really be connecting with there own lives. Lunatics receiving revelation from on high are often dangerous.

There is a case that the templars were influential in the formatrion of English freemasonry. There is a book out that carefully argues that perspective. Of course there is no mention of the Grail or if there is it is one of their secrets.

I have been invited to join the masons but I don't feel it is for me:-)

I bought my Husband a brass skull and crossbones door knocker that took his fancy, we did some research and there were links back to The Templars, and it piqued my interest. I have seen a fair few documentaries, and of course read various novels which all purport to give insight into the real purpose of the Templars, but I would class myself as having no real knowledge of them.

I think you can even buy documentation and the like on internet sites, to call yourself Sir...... but again, I don't know how valid that would be, like most things available on the internet it seems rather too easy to me.....
