Nocturnal Poetry

I'm not big on just randomly posting links to other places and giving them free props but this is something I thought was interesting and you may be inspired by.

I wrote the author to see if I could set any of the poems, especially "New World Order", to music. I'll let you know if he gives his blessing. Alot of the ones I've read are pretty dark and I kind of love/hate that. At least it's a change of pace.

Glad you liked them. My only misgiving is that they ryme too much. I tend to like the more advanced poetry that flows and makes me think. Still no reply from the author and I may not even get one. That's ok, this might inspire me to do some of my own, then I won't have to worry about ripping anyone off. If any of you have lyrics or Poetry and would like them put to music, I could sure use your ideas. I tried this with one of my friends before-without her permission, and she got really pissed off. I think I've learned that lesson. To those of you who celebrate, happy Thanksgiving, and who those who don't-then Happy Thor's day. And now you know why they call it Thursday.

I have some lyrics that I would love to have put to music, but I am not sure that you would like them enough to feel like putting them to music. I will have to find them, as they are buried in my extra bedroom, k? Then I will find a way to get them to you, and you can let me know what you think.

Fantastic, I'm looking forward to it. My friend plays bass and we have a drum machine and keyboards too. We do alot of experimentation. Can you sing? If you we'll send you the basic track and you can do the vocal track on top of everything else. Be forwarned though, we play pretty dark and heavy shit but we can also be slow and melodic if need be. I'd like to do a song(or songs) about how corporations seem to be taking over the planet and trying to control our lives. That's kind of hypocritical for me though because I dabble in market trading but I guess I'm trying to beat them at their own game-or at least keep afloat. I really like songs that keep repeating the same phrase over and over again. Like a chorus-something that's simple but has a hook and sticks in your head. Maybe this whole group could combine their talents and work on some lyrics.

OK, I will go through my completely packed extra bedroom and find my music. I sing, yes, just not as well as I would like to. I do have chorus' in my music, as well as some bridges, but I do write more about love and relationships, stuff like that.
