Past Lives

I have been doing readings for people concerning their past lives for a long time now. And the funny thing that I have found is that everyone except for 1 person I did a reading for has had at least one other past life!

People sometimes want to know how they can tell who they were in a past life. Other than having actual memories of the past life, there are a couple of ways you can tell a little bit about where you lived in a past life, and what time period you lived in.

If you have a great dislike for a place on Earth, then it is quite likely that you had a past life there that was very hard, or that you didn't like for some reason. If you have a real passion for a certain time period, or a particular part of the globe, you probably had a good past life in that period or in the place that you would so love to go! It's easy to figure out where and when you used to live once you take this as a truth and start thinking about it.

I've always wanted to have someone do a past life regression on me. I have no memories, per se, buy I've had some really strong dream images. One in particular is of a dessert marketplace. There's this street lined with vendors, but it's mid day so it's almost deserted and there's a temple at the end of the street - looks Babylonian, the kind of stepped pyramids that they built. Exceptionally vivid detail. (My sweetie, who's spent time in the Middle East, was startled by some of my descriptions, because at the time I'd never been to a desert before.)

I've always had passionate interests in various historical eras and ancient cultures. Sumerian, Imperial Rome, Celtic Britain, India, Egypt. Don't know that that means anything with me though, I'm probably just your basic history nut. (Really shoulda gone into archaeology.)

I have had some very real "flasback" feelings of myself as a man. A fighter pilot. My plane has machine guns on it and it is on fire and I go down very fast and crash. Feels like world war 2. Very vivid repeated weird daydream or past life experience? Not sure.

Both of you are showing symptoms of past lives it seems. That is how the "memories" show up. Our souls are the one's who remember usually, but sometimes little flashes will come and it sounds like both of you have had those little flashes of soul memory to me! How cool! ;D

I have been able to remember quite a few past lives over the years. I have noticed that I seem to have a lot of past lives where I have been a priestess of some sort or the other. That is probably the main theme that I have been able to connect with so far. I think it is sort of funny that I have the chance to become a Santaria Priestess in this life as well, ha ha!

I also have memories of England, France, Egypt, somewhere in the Middle East, China and a few in the US. I have been all sorts of races, but I am usually a woman, which is strange. We usually switch off a lot more often than I think I have, so sometimes I wonder why I have chosen to stay a woman most of the time?

Some thing that I found interesting was that I recently re-examined my chart with an astrologer who pointed out that the north node indicates what you need to learn in this life and the south node indicates what you were in the past life.

Mine further explains my Ochossi (warriorr orisha affiliation) in this life.

That is so cool, that astology has points in it that deal with past lives! I had no idea about that, but it does make sense that it would.

I have anecdotal evidence that astrology seems to be in a decline. People just seem to be as into it as they were back in the day. Conference attendances seem to be down.

I think that it is yielding some interesting insights but sunsign astrology reliance on the sunsign is still suspect as it seem sto generalised.

I'm sure it is one of those pendulem things, where it will pick up again in a few years time. Astrology is an ancient way of divination right? People won't altogether give up on it ever, I don't think.

Debbie: the past life readings you mentioned - is this something you can do long distance? I've always been curious.

I think astrology is a lot less of a fad these days, but the serious practitioners are still there. There are just a lot fewer people who believe their horoscope in the newspaper can tell them anything relevant.

Can I be brutally, brutally honest here? I HATE those horoscopes in newapapers. And as for how much it lives on, it depends on where in the world you are. In India and Buddhist countries people's lives depend on what priests interpret from starcharts. To name but one example, the first letter of your baby's name depends on what star they were born under.

As for past lives, according to the astrologer in India who took my horoscope when I was 3 days old, I used to be a wandering gypsy, who became a stowaway on a boat and travelled the whole of her life. Oddly enough, I have very strong images of sailing, I dont know about the gypsy though
